Do you know how much time it takes to CUSTOMIZE A BLOG LAYOUT? It takes NUMEROUS HOURS if you’re just editing an existing theme, but it takes DAYS if it’s a theme made from scratch. In fact, the past couple of days, I’ve been trying to TWEAK my other blog, but then I’m on a strict deadline and I have to finish writing this article about inogen oxygen concentrators. So I have to stop my “tweaking” for a couple of days and finish my other tasks. If you read my blogs, you’ll know that 2 of those blogs’ headers were done by no less than the fantabulous Kaye of WAHMaholic Designs. She makes glamorous layouts, and if I didn’t have my own Headway theme, I would have had one custom-made by her. Kaye is one of the best layout designers I know. And I’m not saying that because she’s my friend. I would have said the exact same thing almost a year ago when I was just starting to blog and discovered her blogs. She really takes the time to make sure that what you get is WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY you’re paying her. And heck, it’s not even like she sticks a knife on her clients’ throats to pay her fees. I am one of the MANY SATISFIED CLIENTS that she has, and I won’t think twice about hiring her to do my new blog’s header or layout. I would do them myself, but I simply don’t have the time. It just eats up a lot of my time, and it takes up a lot of my energy. Plus, I get really frustrated with all the codes and what not. And did I mention that I earn more if I don’t design blogs? $100 for so much time and energy? I think I’m going to pass.
