Dreaming big is never a crime. My brother has always wanted to be a musician ever since he had his hands on an old guitar he found in our storage room. As much as we’d like to support him, unfortunately my siblings and I just couldn’t give him a new one to practice on since then.
He was actually a member of a band in high school but he was the vocalist since he didn’t have a proper instrument. Now that he’s in college, we’re hoping to get him a gibson melody maker for a graduation gift. We wouldn’t want him to waste his talent so slowly we’re saving up for his dream guitar so he can be the artist he’s always dreamed to be.
What I would give to have at least 3 days for an Out-of-Town Retreat. It may just be the only way I could get us (me and the hubby) off our gadgets for a good 2-3 days. Oh, but wait, even my 3 year-old won’t have access to her videos and games. Oh well, she has got to learn to live without technology for once.
But seriously, don’t you just wish you could take a break from all your gadgets, and Facebook or Twitter for just a couple of days? I’m still awaiting the day that we can relax in a Cabana overlooking lush greens. A breath of fresh air would be nice for once, just to rejuvenate our lungs.
Hmm… a thought. Maybe I could buy one of those groupon vouchers for the three of us for hubby’s 3x birthday celebration. I’m sure we’ll just absolutely have to use it otherwise it will be a waste of good money. What do you think? Do you think I’ve found the perfect excuse for a retreat away from technology?
