I just learned to be very careful when asking a 3-year old what she wants for Christmas. I was really expecting it to be some kind of gadget, like an iPad or phone, or an electronic toy like her Leapfrog Tag books or Leaptop. I wasn’t prepared when she said she wanted a real live Penguin and a Horse.
The only Penguin I could give her is the logo from Linux, while the Horse, though possible would be a real challenge. First there is the question of where to house it. Second is the added expense of accessories like Saddles, Riding Helmets, or Bridles. We’re definitely not ready for that now, but maybe in 10 years or so we can re-think this option. Let’s just hope that she would still want one by then. For now, let’s stick to something easy… like an Xbox 360 Kinect?
