Basement Studio

The amazing internet strikes again. With tools available online for almost everything, it’s no wonder how more people stay indoors to pursue their careers and dreams.

My cousin who’s an aspiring musician just formed their own band. I’ve been wondering how they’ve been practicing and recording their music since I know my cousin’s schedule is pretty packed just from his class schedule. When we met up 2 weekends ago, I did ask him how they manage to practice and record and he said they do it from one of their member’s basement.

The basement, he said, is so up-t-date with tools from the internet. They are able to enhance voices, dub their music, and work on everything else like professionals. Because everything is almost free, they are saving for top-quality condenser microphones which they said will certainly make a difference in their music.

Sound Trippin’

I’ve been missing my iPod lately, more so because I can’t find it! Someone must have borrowed it or something, just when I wanted to lazily spend my day with my little girl listening to old tunes.

Good thing I still have my albums and tunes on my old computer. It was blast listening to my favorite 80s, and 90s tunes. But still, I hate that it’s connected to my PC somehow, so I want to revive our home theater system which has been idle for years. I just need to buy some new speakers because our old one gave up already. I was thinking of getting some Energy bookshelf speakers. I think it will look great with our wood furniture and wood theme in the living room.

Once I have that setup, I no longer need to use my PC and get the best results when it comes to sounds.  PC speakers aren’t really for heavy sound trippin’ so I’ll stick with my work with my PC and sound trippin’ using the sound system.
