I enjoy shopping online. I enjoy shopping in malls. To make a long story short, I enjoy shopping. Period. But there are a lot of advantages to shopping online such as the convenience of buying stuff right at the comforts of your own home, and that we are able to save expenses for commuting or for gas. I, for one, am a big fan of online shopping. In fact, I know that it is now an ongoing trend for us Filipinos to shop online. Gone are the days that online shopping are only for those who are US, Canada or UK residents only. We have a lot of Filipino online stores, most especially in Multiply and eBay where there are a lot of people selling their wares. What I see a lack of would be local online shops who make use of decent e commerce solutions. Since most of the online shops are those from Multiply, making payments can be quite a hassle since one still has to go to the bank, Globe or Smart to deposit payments. I think that is one of the things why online shopping has yet to improve here in the Philippines. Sellers should invest in a good webhost and setup their own online shops outside of the free sites, so that the buyers can enjoy the security and convenience of truly shopping from home. E commerce definitely is one of the points of improvement for online sellers.
